Evergreen Ancestry is run by a professional genealogist and family historian specialising in Yorkshire and Lancashire and can help you if you’re stuck with your family history research or are curious about your ancestors.
I am a member of AGRA (Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives) and have an MA in History and a Higher Certificate in Genealogy as well as many years experience of family history research.
How can Evergreen Ancestry help you?
If you have a family history problem or ‘brickwall’, perhaps a baptism that can’t be found or an ancestor who disappears from the records, I can use online records or record offices to try to resolve the brickwall and present the findings in a report with a family tree if appropriate.
For anyone not able to visit the archives in person, I can visit record offices all over Yorkshire, Lancashire and Westmorland and carry out research into any type of record from the 16th to the 20th century. I can also provide transcriptions of older or difficult to read documents.
I offer family tree packages for those who know little about their family history but would like to find out about their ancestors’ lives. All packages come with birth, marriage and death certificates, transcriptions of census records, a family tree printed on good quality paper and rolled in a cardboard tube and a report giving details of the family over a number of generations.
I carry out research for individuals, academics and TV companies and take time to understand the needs of a client before undertaking research. All research is thorough, well presented and sourced and delivered to a pre-arranged deadline and agreed costs.
